Hindus Extremists taking down Babri Mosque

Ayudhya, the capital of Faizabad District in Uttar Pradesh, India has been described as birth place of Hindu god Sri Rama or Ram. Thats where all it started when Hindu extremist started protesting that Babri Mosque which was built by Mughal Emperor Babar is actually built on the place of Ram Mandar (Temple of Ram).  Although both Muslims and Hindus claiming the place and protesting since long but it got worse in 1949 when some Hindus got into mosque and places the idols of Sri Ram. Thats when court interrupted and the government locked down the place.

1528 – Mughal Emperor Babar built the mosque in Ayudhya at the place called Rama’s fort, which later on Hindus claimed that its a birth place of Sri Ram.

1853 – The first riot took place b/w Hindus and Muslims of then Sub-continent .

1859 – British Rulers at that time decided to put the barriers and draw a line in the Mosque allowing Muslims to pray in the interior of Mosque and Hindus to worship in outer premises.

1949 – Hindus sneaked into mosque and put idols of Sri Ram, which led government to closing down the mosque and surrounding areas.

1980 – Thats when this issue hijacked by political parties,  most notably Hindu Extremist party BJP (Bhartya Janta Pradesh) .

Responsible Man

1984 – A committee was established by the BJP officials to get back the birth place of Sri Ram and that moment was lead by BJP chairman Laal Krishana Advani

1986 – District judge of Faizabad ordered government to open up the place and allowed Hindus to worship there. To respond back Muslims formed Babri Mosque Action Committee.

1989 – Then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi allowed Hindus to built up the Temple near the Mosque

1990 – Laal Krishana Advani started a moment all over the country visiting each and every part and gathering all the Hindus to get back the birth place of their god.

1991 – Before the general elections some Hindus extremist partially martyred  the mosque but govt took over and tried to solve this issues by talks but didn’t succeed. Few months later after the election BJP won the major seats in the parliament thus forming their own government.

1992 Riots

1992 – Hindus Extremist backed by the Government officials martyred the mosque which led to the religious riots all over the country. According to the government figures around 2000 people died in it mostly Muslims.

2002 – Allahabad High court started the hearing of issue and asked the archeologist to identify whether there was a temple before mosque being built as claimed by Hindus.

2003 – Archeologist submitted their report that they found the traces of temple but Muslims didn’t accept it.

2010 – on 24th September the court was going to finally announce its decision but Supreme court of India asked them to delay but later on took back their decision.

30th September 2010 – Court will give its decision whether Mosque was built on the place of temple or not. But whatever the decision will come, Indian government can never give justice to those who got killed in 1992 riots and many believing there will be more after the decision today.

With common wealth games just 3 days near, Security is the main issue in the country.

Update: on 30th September 2010, Allahabad Hight court gave his decision to divide the holy land b/w Hindus and Muslims but the main part of the disputed land has been given to Hindus.

Full hearing on the verdict can be found on the Allahabad Highcourt’s Website

Since 2-3 days I am receiving messages on my cell imploring to pray for construction of mosque at the place of dispute. No message I have yet received that says pray that the verdict that comes today is the justified one.
Things start detoriating when we put RELIGION before HUMANITY.
Islam has a big heart and huge tolerence for emotions of people of other religions. One of the caliphs of islam Hazrat Ali said, “One moment of justice is better than thousand years of prayers”.
I am not saying that the behaviour of hindus is correct, but that of muslims is also incorrect if they show the extremist attitude.

I am a Pakistani Muslim and i read this in the newspaper and i saw riots so i searched it on the internet i founds some good results my friends cousins brother has been there and he said that if the temple was under it it must’ of had been destroyed for a hefty mosque like this so they must of moved the temple or binned it somewhere so theres not gonna be no use destroying the mosque too take a peek and its not there and then building it again its been here for about roughly 500 years
