Pakistan Army we love you. But!…..

by Ammar Haider on September 22, 2010

Thank you Pakistan Army for serving day and night and helping the flood victims. No doubt that you guys are doing a remarkable job while our politicians are busy playing games. You guys are even donating your own food and salaries while our politicians busy storing the donations to their own ware houses. You guys are just focused on doing  relief work while our politicians are busy having photo sessions. You guys are silently winning the heart of millions of people and restoring the pride of Army which was badly damaged by your predecessors. Even the ever zealous  Media who has never been on any side, praising your efforts. Whole Nation loves you guys.

But!

that doesn’t mean that you can try to cash this love by overthrowing the democracy which actually we don’t really have.  I am sure you guys don’t wanna just impose your rule based on this love figures just like Mr. Musharaf  decided to come into politics based on his ever growing facebook fans. I can assure you sir that once you try to rule, the whole nation gona turned against you. Media will whine about their independence and freedom of speech. Because sir we are quite confused nation. We fight for democracy when we have Martial law and then we pray that Martial law should come back when we have democracy.

Nawabzada Nassrulla Khan once said

We as a person and as a nation are very impatient people. We can talk about discipline for hours but will never ever stand in a queue. And if we stand in a queue by chance, we can’t maintain it for 5 minutes, and some how we maintain it then we don’t wanna stand at the back, always looking to jump over and get in front. If someone breaks the queue, we follow that person rather then stopping him. And that’s when crowd get violent, throws abusive languages, and starts fighting. A nation who doesn’t even know how to be in queue can not accept any system let alone democracy.

We fight hard and struggle to put a plant of Democracy but we don’t wait for it to grow, we don’t give enough water to it, neither we clean the surface around it. We don’t even plow it and make sure wild animals doesn’t come around this newly planted seed. We doesn’t protect it from sun and rain. But we dig it every day to see whether its growing properly or not. And when it get withered, we blame it on a plant it self rather then looking for a reasons. We think that it wasn’t our fault, we did tried and put the plant in this land but its not working. I think its the fault of plant lets try something else or i think this land is barren on which nothing can work.

But Sir i can assure you that this land is not barren. Its a productive land which can help you plant any kind of seeds but require patience, hard work, unity and sincerity.

p.s : Pakistan Army, You guys can be loved as a Servant to the nation and as a Helper but not as a Ruler & leader. So keep on doing what you are best at. Serve the Nation.
