My Kolachi

by Ammar Haider on August 4, 2010

Karachi SeaKolachi was one of the most beautiful and gorgeous women around. She was like those princesses in fairy tales. Her deep eyes resembles with an ocean. Sharp nose, shoulder cut hair, shiny teeth and a beautiful smile, tall height with an attitude walk. She had beautiful curves and amazing sex appeal. And how can I forget about that face, an angelic face, full of innocence. And a dimple, It was an icing on the cake. In short she was a masterpiece of an artist which can never be made again. She used to live by the sea and her work was to spread love. With her smile and healing words, she started caring for each and everyone, who came by the sea either by force or by choice.  She gave out her smile and hugged everyone with open arms without worrying for their religion, race and culture. She never discriminated anyone. For her everyone was equal in the light of humanity.

But there were 2 men who wanted her just more than that. They both wanted to OWN her for their own pleasure. They doesn’t like if she smiles or talk to anyone else. One day when Kolachi was just walking down the beach, enjoying the weather, they both turned up. Started to impress Kolachi with their sweet talk and macho-ness. But Kolachi was un-impressed. And when she was trying to walk away, one guy pulled her to him, mis-balanced and she fell on his hands. That move made other guy angry as he tried to pull her away from him, so only he can have her.

Kolachi was mourning with pain, her deep eyes suddenly got blank and that dimple was no more. She was stuck in the middle with her both hands being pulled in different direction. And then suddenly she fell on sand. Those 2 men ignored her and started to fight with each other, kicking, slapping and punching. They kept on fighting for couple of minutes, and then they realized that they were standing on the body of Kolachi who got crushed under their boots. Her face was in blood and eyes wide open with no lit of life in it. They couldn’t hear her shouting or crying as they were too busy in their own fight.

Both men looked at each other with no grief in their eyes, hugged each other because the reason which made them enemy was no more, that reason was dead. Kolachi was dead. They walked away in a search for another Kolachi. There was a Vulture, sitting on the nearby rock, looking at all this drama, started to move near to Kolachi so that he can feed his hunger.

A HUNGER which will never be SATISFIED.

So wonderful! Kolachi was the love of all, and Karachi remains the love of this country. Enemy is trying to pull it into darkness, so Pakistan suffers. We have all to offer our love and blessings to this city, or it will be no more, and this I can say with conviction and after seeing the natural and man made crises in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa.

Nicely written … but why are the people of our lovable Kolachi letting these enemies win? Why are the people sleeping? Why is the evil getting bigger then the good? People need to wake up and take things in their own hands!
Start small, but start SOMEWHERE. How? start cleaning up, correct your own actions, start educating those who are around. If each person starts correcting oneself all of us will bring the positive change we need.

Sufficiently composed story relating to the events occurring in Karachi. Impersonation depicted beautifully :)

Karachi is a city with diverse inhabitants. Each exhibiting their own habitual practices & giving depth to the Metropolitan city. Sadly a much greater political raid has erupted taking over the city by force. It’s a fight between opposition parties I believe so either one can rule. Or maybe a third player is taking advantage. The country itself is in wrath of horrific chaos. From natural disasters to people killing their own citizens. Ever wonder why is this all happening? It’s because of our ill deeds, the whole nation is going through a tough period of time. Now is the time to stand up together, end the civilian rivalries & be heard.

It was surely a treat to read. Good work Ammar.. hehe :D

Very well developed. Its all shows your love for your city.We all love each and every corner of Pakistan but when it comes to our city it gets double.
You know recently my uncle shifted to Punjab from Karachi due to uncertain conditions. That really painful that you cant live at your desired place even though you are celebrating independence day every year on 14th Aug with full enthusiasm.Pretty unfair.
people always talk about democracy.I dnt know what is democracy in real sense as I have never seen since getting into my conscious, except in political science books.
Our mob is in need of a leader to become a civilized nation of having concept “do live and let live” and that leader will come from oppressed class.I am sure it will happen in near future.
But continue leading at wherever you are by following your hearts. Its a best service.
Have a good time.

very nice written, keep kolachi clean from politics, politicians are social animals, but more importantly we have to change our self first, then we surely exhausted bitter corrupted and terrorist peoples.
